ALL WHITES DAY
To celebrate New Zealand's participation in the Football World Cup, Holy Cross had a 'White Out' day. In the New Zealand World Cup squad is former Holy Cross pupil and 2010 Oceania Player of the Year, Ivan Vicelich. The children (and teachers) dressed in white and had a football themed day culminating in a Teachers v Students game - won 3-1 by the Teachers!! Goals were scored by Miss O'Dea (a brilliant header into the top left hand corner of the goal) Mr Haughton scored a penalty goal and unfortunately there was also an own goal. For the students Jesse Hartmann scored with a spectacular flying knee kick off a fantastic Maulin Patel free kick. We all had a great day and we wish the All Whites all the best for the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa!!
