National Standards

The standards of Reading, Writing and Mathematics establish the level of attainment expertise that can reasonably be expected of most students after their first year of school through to Year 8.


Reading & Writing:

As language is central to learning and English is the medium for most learning in the New Zealand Curriculum, the importance of literacy in English cannot be overstated.
