Attendance Dues

Attendance Dues are a compulsory payment under the terms of the Education and Training Act 2020, and is a condition of enrollment at Holy Cross Catholic School in Henderson.

Attendance Dues are charged for all students who attend Catholic Schools in New Zealand.

Attendance Dues are used to pay for all building related costs at Catholic schools in the Auckland Diocese.

Attendance Dues are collected by Holy Cross Catholic School on behalf of the school’s Proprietor, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland. The attendance dues collected by Holy Cross Catholic School are forwarded to Auckland Common Fund Limited, a company established by the proprietors of Catholic integrated schools in the Diocese of Auckland responsible for the collection of attendance dues.

SCHOOL DUES – 2021 FULL YEAR

  • Parents/Caregivers, as a condition of enrolment and attendance, are required to pay compulsory Attendance Dues as determined from time to time by the Proprietor and approved by the Minister of Education.

  • Accounts are sent out each term.

  • Payment is to be made to Holy Cross Catholic School.

  • If your family are facing financial difficulties, please feel free to pop into the office and speak with our office manager, Kerry-ann.


1. ATTENDANCE DUES – Compulsory for every student

Attendance dues are approved by the Minister of Education under the terms of the Education and Training Act 2020.

$113 per term, per child ($452.00 per year)

Please ensure that you make regular payments, as the Attendance Dues are COMPULSORY.

2. SPECIAL CHARACTER CONTRIBUTION

Special Character Contributions collected on behalf of the Proprietor are permitted under the terms of the Education and Training Act 2020. These contributions are eligible for a taxation rebate.

$12.50 per term, per child ($50.00 per year)


Please pay by Eftpos or cash at the school office. We also welcome internet banking and direct credit payments. If you choose this option the account details are as follows:

· REFERENCE: Please ensure you include your Child's name with a Reference eg. fees, netball, camp etc

· AMOUNT: Choose your frequency of payments - Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or termly.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE DUES

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial assistance is available to assist families who may need financial support with the payment of Attendance Dues for preference students attending Catholic schools in the Auckland Diocese, both primary and secondary.


Attendance Dues support will also be available to parents and caregivers of non-preference students who have been affected by the August 2021 Covid-19 lockdown.

Families facing financial difficulties can contact their school office, their Parish Priest or the Operations Manager at the Catholic Diocese of Auckland for further information.
